As for my thoughts on the girls’ various states of undress, someone on YT put it best, I believe (emphasis added):
The girls in Soul Calibur series have always been made to look hot. With every sequel, you’ll notice they look better and sexier albeit cuz of graphics improvement. But why is that a surprise to you? Every fighting game does this – from SF, Tekken, to DOA. Simply put, its a marketing ploy and it sells. Would you prefer to play a game with ugly chicks instead?
I’ve never particularly minded the vapid fanservice. I mean, you can “undress” the guys, too, you know. ô_ô Fighting games have always been doing the fanservice thing. And anyway, fighting games are violent little sons of bitches. You get stabbed, slashed, and smacked around repeatedly yet shed no blood, some characters literally break your body, characters get up after sustaining that kind of damage and more; and people are worried that you can see Ivy’s undercleavage?! Give me a break, yeesh. =_____=
ETA: OH YEA VOICE ACTORS! I swear they switched all the seiyuu, bringing in the big names. :D I pinned Auguste as Kougaiji (Saiyuki)’s seiyuu, Maxi as Tsuda Kenjirou (!! Even imotochanchan noticed, she was like, “…Kaiba? o_O” lolllllllll) and…that’s really all I “recognized,” lol. Whether I’m right remains to be seen, haha. |DD;;;;

the cleavage is really distracting in fighting games. especially taki’s for some reason o_O
i remember when DoA Xtreme Beach Volleyball came out, and I really wanted it. I really liked the idea of unlocking a bunch of bikinis for the girls. lol, sharing a gay moment here.

That’s because Taki’s are like, fucking balloons. O_O When I first got SC3, Mi-Na distracted me like CRAZY because the skirt kept, like, swishing aside and I’m just like “LEGS shit I died ||||OTL” I don’t notice it as much anymore, probably because I’m so used to seeing skin now, lol
