Geki 24 – Gou’s death + preview for 27 Mele deleted scene?
Gou was only assumed dead; no one (except Rio) knew where he went. It is stated that Miki searched for Gou for a time. (implied that the Masters searched, too?)
However, it is known that Rio killed Dan. This is probably due to the body, and Shafu may have been able to read Rio’s ki off the body. Alternatively, Rio may have told them himself, but that is very much not likely, seeing as how he doesn’t view it as fulfillment of his wish to beat Dan. It was not until ep 40-something that the full story is revealed by Rio himself.
Also note that canonically/timeline-wise, Rio faced Gou before Dan.
Also, in the preview of ep 27, there’s a shot of Mele eating a manju, with a pile in front of her. (It was kinda hilarious. xD) It never made it to the actual episode. But depending on what the scene actually contained, my little “rinshis/Mele doesn’t actually have to eat” headcanon may or not be shot to pieces. ._.;;; But it’s never mentioned in the show itself, so it’s totally not contradicting canon! 8DDDDDDDD;;;;;;;
